Welcome to Class R.
Meet the team;
Mrs Rowland Mrs Keightley Miss Hancock Mr Grey

Our timetable:
In Class R we focus on the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework to help children achieve their Early Learning Goals. These are split across 7 areas:
- Communication and Language
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Physical Development
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Art and Design
We do this through a mixture of teaching inputs and the children having the opportunity to explore new ideas through play and experiences both inside and out of the classroom.
We have been lucky enough to welcome 2 special visitors to the class so far this year. We had a visit from Mr. Bright a paramedic who helped the children learn about People who help us. The children asked lots of questions, got to have a go at bandaging and to see inside of the ambulance, including having a go at turning on the lights and sirens. As part of learning about caring for living things Dracko the bearded dragon came to visit the children and they learnt how to care for him.
Reading.
At St Anne's we know how important it is to inspire a love of reading in children. In Class R we have story time at the end of every day and support the children with learning to read using the Floppy Phonic's Scheme. On World Book Day the children enjoyed dressing up as their favourite characters.
We read lots of different books in class but if you are looking for some great stories to share at home with your child we have a few recommendations below;
