After School Activities
Extra Curricular and Enrichment Activities
At St Anne's we value the development of the child as a whole. We offers a variety of extra-curricular opportunites and enrichment activities for children throughout the school day and after school.
Each term, different Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 sports clubs run. This term, they are:
Key Stage 1 - Multisports
Kay Stage 2 - Netball
The school choir runs weekly at lunch times and is run by Mrs Rees. They have performed brilliantly at various different events such as the whole school Eucharists at the curch and at Godmancester Christmas light switch on.
Each week, children from across the school participate in music lessons with Rocksteady Music School. From electric guitars and keyboards, to singing and playing the drums. The children work as part of a team to learn a new pop or rock song song each term. At the end of each term, they put on a concert for the school and their own visitors. Below are some photos from the most recent concert. It was amazing!
If your child is interested in joining Rocksteady, please contact the school office.
We also offer a variety of enrichment activities throughout the school. From school trips, to Bikeability, the Year 6 residential and visitors to the school, we want to provide the children at St Anne's with as many opportunities as possible.
There is also the chance for children to attend private piano lessons with a tutor who runs her sessions in school.
School Trips and Visitors
We offer a number of school trips and welcome a variety of vistors into St Anne's throughout the year. Recent trips have included visits to West Stow, The Cromwell Museum, and Flag Fen. Children have been on a bus trip in the local area and there have also been visits to Woburn Safari Park and Cambridge Botanical Gardens.
The school often visits St Mary's Church for Eucharist and Harvest Festival and,in addition to this, some classes visit the church as part of their RE lessons.
The school receives regular visits from members of St Mary's Church and the Baptist church in Godmanchester. Mr Busk runs assemblies each week and the Baptist church come in to run Prayer Space workshops and they also do some work with Year 6 children about their transition to secondary school in the Summer Term.
Vistors to the school have included volunteers from the local Porch Museum, Portals to the Past and visits from the ambulance service, NSPCC and local Police.
