PSFA

The Parents, Staff, and Friends Association is St Anne's fundraising body.

We are a group of parents and carers, staff, and friends of the school who fundraise and arrange community events. Our objective is to advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by:

* Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school, and

* Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

This year, the PSFA has funded reading corners in the school which serve to promote high quality texts to the children in a comfortable and engaging area of each classroom.

So far this year we have held a Christmas movie night, a family disco, and our recent Easter Bunny Bingo event as well as supporting with the school's Christmas Fair, serving drinks at the nativity performances, and our Christmas hamper raffle. We arrange art competitions to encourage the children's creativity, Christmas Card designs for you to buy, and we host an advent "hunt" every day throughout December. We also hold second hand uniform for sale, both to reduce waste and to supply items at a lower cost, we are in the process of buying a new shed for storing these items so that we can hold and organise our stock more efficiently!

In recent years, the PSFA has contributed to the development of the forest school area, and of the courtyard area, Class R's Christmas party and transport for the rest of the school to the Christmas pantomime, repairs to the climbing frame, and transport to a previous year 6's transition day at Hinchingbrooke. We organise events that are enjoyed by both students and families, including discos, film nights, quiz nights, family bingo, and the Summer Fair.

All parents, carers, and staff are a part of the association and entitled to stand and vote for the committee. We usually hold our AGM in September/October, but welcome volunteers and interest at any time of the year! Please contact us via our Facebook page or email address as listed below.
