Do you enjoy working in a kitchen environment and want to play a part in making lunchtime a positive, welcoming experience for children? Then we’d love to hear from you!
At St Anne’s, we believe mealtimes are an important part of the school day – a chance to fuel learning, encourage healthy choices and give children time to relax and connect. Our recent Ofsted report praised our pupils as “polite, confident and kind. They work and play happily together and are well cared for by staff” – we’d love you to be part of that supportive, caring team.
What you’ll be doing:
Assisting in the preparation of nutritious meals and snacks for our pupils
Supporting the smooth running of our busy kitchen service
Serving meals to children and staff with a smile
Keeping the kitchen and dining area clean and safe
Working alongside our catering and support staff to create a welcoming lunchtime environment
What we’re looking for:
A positive, friendly attitude and willingness to be part of a team
Some experience of working in a kitchen or catering environment (school experience is a bonus, but not essential)
An understanding of food hygiene and safety practices (training can be provided)
Someone who enjoys working around children and takes pride in supporting their wellbeing
In return, we offer:
A welcoming, collaborative staff team – Ofsted noted that “staff work together to ensure that pupils are well supported and achieve well”
Hours that suit family life – no evenings or weekends, just term time working
Training and support to develop your skills
The chance to make a daily difference to children’s school experience
Come and join us – be part of a school community where everything is done “in love”.
