Autumn Term 2026
In the autumn term, Class 4 will be exploring an exciting History topic on the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, finding out about these important periods in Britain’s past. In Science, the class will be learning about electricity and Sound, while Computing will focus on systems, networks and programming. English will provide opportunities for the children to develop their reading, writing and communication skills alongside their daily class reading, with spelling and handwriting continuing throughout the week. In RE, the children will explore Christianity, including Creation and the Fall, while PSHE will focus on rights, rules and responsibilities, and emotions. Creative opportunities will include drawing and printing in Art, baking in DT and learning about the music of Beethoven and Abba! PE will feature tennis and gymnastics in the first half term, then Forest School in the second half, with Spanish lessons introducing the topics of vegetables and seasons. PE days are Tuesday (indoor) and Thursday (outdoor) in the first half term, and Wednesdays for Forest school in the second half.
